Interior Designer Caitlin Moran designed this coastal chic living- and dining area:

The crisp white walls of this living room is balanced with warmer beige floors and an area rug. Seafoam green and smokey blue, perhaps inspired by the beautiful landscape art behind the sofa, brings that beachy feel. Pops of bright rusty red adds warmth and a lot of interest.

The classic white tulip table apparently goes with everything, even this coastal look.

Remember Jill Shevlin from Top Model Home? Ever since I did this post on her, I fell in love with her light, soft and beach-inspired design style. Here are some of her other works through her Interior Design firm Intrinsic Design:

The style is fresh and modern with a beachy theme. The living room walls are painted brown, while the wall of the dining area is terracotta. The color scheme is pulled together through the sofa pillows. I love the raw wood console table behind the couch, it is very befitting of the theme. Like drift wood. The shiny barracuda (fish) sculpture is from Z gallerie, you can get it here. The wood sculpture in the dining area would be super nice with a spot-light directed at it, I’m sure it would create some kick-ass shadows on the wall!

Love how the colors of both living room and dining room are picked up in the stripes in the hallway. Horizontal stripes also makes the hall look longer, and has a calming effect.

A smokey tone of blue (blue with black in it) is a perfect choice if you want to create a contrast with white.

*

The walls are blue, detailing and seating furniture is white, while coffee- and side tables are dark. I love the little dog bed in the lowest shelf there. Cutest detail!

The mantle is decorated with sea stars and silver vases. This carpet is perfect!

The dining room is clad in natural fiber wallpaper with white 1/3 paneling. I would love to see a nice carpet here.

This is one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen! It is a waterfront home with a coastal theme. The color palette is based on a soft beige and crisp white, with different accent color separating the rooms.

This living room is gorgeous! One white sofa, one blue and two beige recliners, all pulled together with same color theme cushions!
