Breathtaking Bedroom Transformation!
I love this bedroom makeover. Editor of Decorating Magazine Lacey Howard transforms a plain white bedroom into a warm and welcoming delight of taupe, corals and pinks:
*
The Bed:

Before the makeover starts, this bedroom is pretty much a clean canvas of white. The white ribbon on the bedsheets..
*

… is exchanged for a coral one. New bedside table and white plates as wall decor. A small vignette is created on the bedside table with a framed pink painting and a bouquet of flowers. This transformation is awesome! Rich warm colors.
*
The Closet:

The folding doors of the closet are removed.
*

And replaced with curtains for a softer and more open feel. The curtain rod is wider than the actual closet to make the closet look bigger. Now there is not just a wall with a closet, the whole wall is the closet. Love the warmer shade in the closet.
*
The Dresser/Desk:

This is the dresser you saw in the closet, and it has been replaced by..
*

The former pink nightstand. A glass side table turns this nook into a tiny home office slash vanity. To really make this alcove feel like a space of its own, the walls are covered in beautiful beige butterfly wallpaper.
*
The Seating Area:

The seating area was clean, simple and pretty before..
*

.. but absolutely stunning after! The coral pink curtains placed wider than the actual window frame makes the window look a lot bigger, and frames the sofa perfectly. The floor lamp (which was moved to the bed) is replaced with a white shell chandelier, and white ottoman tables and recliner each received new slipcovers.
This is definitely how you do pink room without it looking like a little girls room.

Pink Suede Bedroom Walls
HGTV’s Rate My Space user Adordesign has padded one of her bedroom walls with a pink-beige suede style fabric, and the result is spectacular!
*
The sectioned wall really brings out the depth and softness of the walls..
*
And the duvet cover and coverlet is so.. perfect! And to complete the soft theme, she places a pillow behind each bedside table lamp!
*
Side view. The tiny chandelier is so art deco. Love it.

You can see what she did with the rest of the suede fabric in her spare bedroom here!

One Bedroom, Four Ways!
It is always fun to see what a huge impact all the little details in a room make. This bedroom from House to Home is done in four different ways, lets take a look:
*
A lovely calm and sophisticated bedroom with cream walls and carpets, accented by cold brown, white and peachy pinks. The medium stained wood furniture really brings warmth to this room.
*
The same room, with an ice cold make over. The walls have been painted a cold shade of blue, the furniture is light and bare, and the accessory color is a neutral white. The low headboard allows for a pretty winter landscape painting above the bed.
*
A cold jewel purple wall color is heated up by a warm tone of pink in this romantic country style bedroom. The bed has gone from wood to white metal. Frame-less mirrors in all shapes and sizes decorate the walls.

*
A very neutral tone of greige on the walls, with simple white furniture. And to save this room from bland-ness, the accessory color is a subtle yellow. Very pretty!
*
It strikes me what a huge difference the choise of furniture makes. The first and last room both have pretty neutral wall colors,
Glamorous Blue Home
A beautiful home designed by lifestyle architect Kerrie Kelly:
*
A foggy baby blue wall color with pearl white couch group and deep brown furniture and accents. All the large plants placed around the room makes a classic glam atmosphere.
*
The large round silver mirror really draws attention to the dining area.
*
A pretty antique buffet painted a light shade of grey.
*
Glamorous bedroom in beige and grey. Lovely pattern on the rug,

Tans and Whites
If you are into the simple ‘clean’ look, you might want a soft color that makes a nice but subtle contrast with white.
*

A beautiful greige wall color, contrasted by crispy white details and acessorised with a sunny orange. The simple lines are broken by the round side table lamps and geometric patterned rug.
*

A simple cream couch in an open plan living room, modernized with sparkly cushions and a cow hide rug.
*
A beautiful rustic bathroom in tans and black. Looks like the mirror frame is made out of tiles, with lamps mounted directly on it. Not a bad idea.
*

Rattan patio furniture and white porcelain.

The Natural Look
Lets compose a home with a natural type style and a soft color scheme of beige, creams and soft olive greens:
The Living room:

I love the rough materials used together with the cream couch and artistic pieces.
The Bathroom:

Have a look at those pearl mosaic tiles! How about a mirror?
The Bedroom:

Beige, creams and burgundy. That headboard is spectacular! Looks like stone tiles…
The Kitchen:

Soft olive green on both walls and ceiling. Not one, but two kitchen sinks.
