Lets take a look at some beautiful designs by Mark English Architects:

Modern bedroom in white and greige, with built-in lights. Love how the white ruffled sheets softens up this clean lined room.
*
White kitchen with a raw wooden dining table and a glass ball chandelier. Contrast.
*
The kitchen is white and simple with black counter tops. Lots of brushed steel here too.
*
A large round dining table for nine.
*
This bathroom is very artistic. Wall mounted toilet and bidet.
*
This bathroom floor is a mix of pearl mosaic tiles and beautifully cut wood.
*

Soft Sand-Colored Tiling
Lets look at some beautifully tiled bathrooms in the soft color range of cremes and sand:
Simple and sparkly.

Look at those beautiful tiles!
*

Elongated rough tiles combined with mosaic tiles for an interesting look.

I see at least four different types of tiles here.

Earthy Colors
Here are some examples of how you can use earthy tones like beige, greens and browns together to create a light, soft and modern home.
Kitchen:

Raw bricks contrasted with soft brushy green plants.
Dining room:

Super soft minty green contrasted with a smokey brown and cream. That floating shelve mounted super-high on the wall makes the room appear taller.
Living room:

Cream, greens, brown and grey. Nice balance between pattern and texture.
Bathroom:

A modern rustic bathroom in greige, beige and brown. Cute lamps.
UPDATE: See the wall color of this bathroom here!
Bedroom:

Beige, olive green and dark wood. Clean lines and great color combo.
