Green living room with a botanical vibe. I love how the candle holders are placed at different height among the plant pictures. Very unexpected!

Did you make a herbarium when you were a child? We used to put flowers and leafs in a book and leave it there til it was dry, then we framed them. It didn’t turn out nearly as pretty as those above, though.

Modern Cottage
*

Beautiful light bedroom in creams and geige. The vertical striped wallpaper adds a nice sophisticated touch.
*

This cottage-y living room has a light modern color palette of creams, white and terracotta.
*

The open plan solution allow a glimpse of the beautiful dining area from the living room.
*

Very pretty! I really enjoy the light modern color palette with the touches of natural materials like stone fireplace, hardwood floors and wooden tabletops.
*

Choosing a larger chair for the two short ends of a dining table reminds me of a medieval dining table with the “throned” hosts at each end.. You can see the kitchen in in the background here. Check out those beautiful beams!
*

Now this bathroom is fun! Top of the walls and ceiling are painted a metallic color, and the round mirror is beautifully integrated into the design, resulting in a fantastic eye catcher. The clam sink is so cool!

My Favorite Etsy Finds!
So I was browsing around Etsy the other day, for those of you not in the know, Etsy is a place where you can buy or sell handmade items. When you think of it, if you want something unique that not everyone else has, handmade is really the way to go! Here are some of my favorite finds, click the photos to see full size:
*
The apple tree bed. Did you ever see anything like it?
*
The whole room is like taken straight out of a fairytale!
Bed designed by Attila.
*
I’ve been on a hunt for pretty (and affordable) throw pillows for some time now, and these are the pretties I have ever seen!
*
This one reminds me of little bubbles coming up from the ocean.
*
I bet this one would make pretty patterns on the ceiling when the light is just right..
*
Pillows designed by The Home Centric.

Love the soft layered look of these lamps.

Natural Coastal and Norwegian
If you are inspired by natural materials and layered fabrics with a world of different textures, look no further than to Norwegian lifestyle shop Bolina:
*
A cozy seating area with dark stained raw wood planks for a wall. White pillows in every shape and texture. I love the one with the dots!
*
Troll-sized spoon and fork on the wall? lol! The cluster of lamps is very nice, and takes up the shape of the bowl in the next pic:
*
This bowl must be inspired by a coral reef, no? I love it!
*
Lovely contrasts of cold hard glass with soft fabrics. Natural pale color palette.
*
More delightful vases. Very coastal!
*
I must admit I have become quite obsessed with lamp shades lately. This one is definitely a cute design with its linen upholstery and dangling seashells!
*
Gorgeousness!
*
Rocks on a string. These are actually made from wool.
*
You can look trough Bolina’s inspirational pics from the shop here (click “Last ned” to see full size pics)!

Romantic Rustic Bedroom
One of the best ways to bring life to a design is by contrasting materials. A great example can be seen here in Phoebe Howard’s rustic bedroom design:
*
Crisp white, clean soft bedding..
*
..in a rustic loft bedroom. The bedpost and window is a perfect match in shape.
*
A small side table with a bar-tray.
*
Perfect lamp! A modern classic.
*
Bedroom doors are exchanged for white flowing curtains!

Gorgeous Bedroom

I just love this beautiful bedroom! Dark hardwood floors and platform bed, soft cream colors on the walls and rug.
Gorgeous Green Bedroom
This beachy green and white bedroom is designed by Amanda Nisbet:
*

Green natural fiber wall covering with medium stained hardwood floor and gray rug. This bed frame is so coastal!
*

The seating area consists of a white chaise lounge with green trimmings. The weave pillow looks great and adds to the beachy feel, but I bet is looks a lot better than it feels, lol. Oh, and the pressed 60’s swimsuit is the best idea ever!

More Pretty Fall Colors
More pretty autumns colors, courtesy of (my love) Pottery Barn:
*
These autumn leaf bedsheets are so pretty! So, what do you think about hanging empty picture frames on the wall? I’m not a fan, lol.
*
This white and orange patterned loveseat looks so soft!
*
Brie, crackers and red whine, yum. Apparently, Fruits like apples and grapes are great decoration for a fall-themed table setting.
*
White and orange home office with dark wooden furniture. The round mirror makes this desk look like a vanity table!
