Simply Coastal Home
Hi guys! There have been some trouble with this website lately, but don’t worry, I am (trying) to get to the bottom of it. Now let’s get down to business and take a look at some beautiful coastal homes, by Simply Home:
*

Beautiful oceanfront patio. Aren’t the chairs in the foreground with the tall backs gorge?
*

Cream and light blue living room. What a great view.
*

Divine bedroom. Blue walls with cream trim and accents. I adore that wing chair!
*

More living room.
*

This dining room is definitely my favourite room. A mild sophisticated color palette, perfect symmetry and beautiful details. Take a look at the “dotted” trim on the curtains.
*

Chair + Patterned fabric = my new obsession. What do you think?
*

A white kitchen. The cabinet to the right of the sink looks to be a dishwasher in hiding.
*

Now this is a fun bathroom. Lobster wallpaper!

For upholstered furniture there are 53 beautiful fabrics to choose from. Needless to say, this is fun! Lets check out some of their colorful furniture:
*

Bright turquoise walls with beige and yellow. This surf chic living room is all about happy colors.
*

That shade of turquoise is a bit on the bright side for me, but I love how it is repeated throughout the accents. And btw I am strangely attracted to the sofa fabric.. so pretty!
*

Now this is a cute dining area! The beige, turquoise and yellow work perfectly together.
*

Purple side table with orange fishes. Almost like a built-in vignette. No worries about decorating that table top!
*

This must be the most crazy color combo yet. I feel like a cartoon character just by looking at it! I would think any weather would be gray when you walk out of this entryway.
*

This lavender blue, turquoise and green nursery is the cutest! The wave detail on the crib is my favorite part.
*

More waves in this bedroom. I see 6 fishes.
*

Orange and pink is one of my favorite color combos. Perfect for a little girls room.
*
To make it even more fun, Russell & Mackenna is offering you, my wonderful readers, 40 % off of all furniture in their online store!

Coastal Designs by Jill Shevlin
Remember Jill Shevlin from Top Model Home? Ever since I did this post on her, I fell in love with her light, soft and beach-inspired design style. Here are some of her other works through her Interior Design firm Intrinsic Design:
*

Cream and blue dining room with teak (?) table and flowing white curtains. A huge painting of a blue seahorse is placed on either side of the glass doors.
*

Cream and blue living room with a spectacular view of the ocean!
*

Gorgeous bedroom…
*

A small desk in one corner of the bedroom.
*

Baby blue and cream guest bedroom.
*

Beautiful marble tops on the bathroom counters.
*
Beachy Bliss
Lets look at some light and gorgeous coastal designs by my favorite interior designers Phoebe and Jim Howard:
*

The pretty sea-painting sets the whole tone for this cream and sea foam blue seating area. The coffee table is really nice!
*

This color palette is so fresh and beachy! The sisal carpet and bamboo blinds adds the perfect color and texture. Rough and natural.
*

The bedroom seating area. Notice how the chairs are not placed in the corner? Adds great depth to the room!
*

The fish plates are fantastic! You can get them here!
*
You can see more from Phoebe and Jim on their respective websites, or you can just stick around, because this will definitely not be the last we see of their work!
*
Natural Coastal and Norwegian
If you are inspired by natural materials and layered fabrics with a world of different textures, look no further than to Norwegian lifestyle shop Bolina:
*
A cozy seating area with dark stained raw wood planks for a wall. White pillows in every shape and texture. I love the one with the dots!
*
Troll-sized spoon and fork on the wall? lol! The cluster of lamps is very nice, and takes up the shape of the bowl in the next pic:
*
This bowl must be inspired by a coral reef, no? I love it!
*
Lovely contrasts of cold hard glass with soft fabrics. Natural pale color palette.
*
More delightful vases. Very coastal!
*
I must admit I have become quite obsessed with lamp shades lately. This one is definitely a cute design with its linen upholstery and dangling seashells!
*
Gorgeousness!
*
Rocks on a string. These are actually made from wool.

Modern Living room by Tim De Clue
Take a look at this gorgeous open plan solution by interior designer by Timothy De Clue:
*
*
*
The style is fresh and modern with a beachy theme. The living room walls are painted brown, while the wall of the dining area is terracotta. The color scheme is pulled together through the sofa pillows. I love the raw wood console table behind the couch, it is very befitting of the theme. Like drift wood. The shiny barracuda (fish) sculpture is from Z gallerie, you can get it here. The wood sculpture in the dining area would be super nice with a spot-light directed at it, I’m sure it would create some kick-ass shadows on the wall!

Pretty Green
*

I love this pretty white dining room with black furniture and olive green accents. I love the super long, fringed tablecloth, and a glass top is very functional. The white chandelier looks pretty too.
*

Light and pretty living room with a super soft green sofa and black iron furniture. I love how the organic patterns on the pillows and wall, together with the orchids in the clam planter and simple iron legs, really roughs up this room!
*

Cream bedroom with a dark stained wooden bed and green accents. I LOVE that ceiling lamp!
*

Black wooden kitchen island with white marble counter top.
*

This mirror is nice! Do you like it?
