Theme Room Inspiration
If you are planning on decorating a fun theme room for your kids, look no further than to the Madonna Inn (discovered through Retro Renovation) for inspiration:
*
Each room is designed in a different theme. This is the Old Mill family room with two king sized beds and a hand painted mural. To read more about each room, click the pic!
*
Carin is the super girly all pink bedroom. Perfect for Barbie and Ken!
*
The Chestnut Foal is a green and brown horse themed room. Check out the Merry-Go-Round ceiling lamp!
*
This tyrian purple and burgundy red bedroom is accented with golden mirror frames and classic teardrop chandeliers. To achieve a baroque theme, go for regal colors and velvet (or velour). I would go for another color carpet though. This room is named Dez, and might not be suited for a kid, lol.

The Mountain view has a nice relaxed atmosphere with brown carpeting, green walls and a great white bed with some wild zebra prints!

Merry is a sparkling pink bedroom with chandeliers by the dozen.
The Color Purple
Purple in the general language are all tones between red and blue. The color is often associated with royalty and nobility, and has great versatility.
If your favourite colors are purple, have a look at this:
Bedroom:

Lilac, pinks and creams. A bit granny-chic, no? Read more on this here.
Dining room:

Here aubergine is combined wiith its complimetary color which is yellow-green, for a dramatic modern look. More details here.
Fireplace:

Purple wall with a modern fireplace.
Living room:

The color palette is kept pretty tight in this room, with one tone of aubergine, white and silver accents, like framework, side tables and lamps.
Kids room:

Lilac works well with fresh colors like purple and pink in a playful kids room.
Bathroom:

Various tones of lilac and purple, again themed with silver details. The patterns on the wall, mirror frame and drawers makes this bathroom look more romantic.

Bonus Pics: Baroque themed living room and bedroom:

Various tones of purple, hot pinks and brown. Lots of patterns and textures. Velvet, taffeta and zebra print, all in one room!

Classic Neutral Living Rooms
Visual inspiration:

Mustard, white and soft olive green. Curtain is traded in for a matching blind. Only thing missing are the light fixtures.

A more modern take. White, black with some splashes of green. The lucite tables gives the room a lot more space than would a solid colored one. Pillow pattern repeated in curtain. Simple lines. We can not see most of the corner table light, so lets find some that would fit the room!

ooh, here are lots of lovely details. Soft apricot, white and gold. Wouldn’t risk a glass of red whine in that living room! Anyways, that sofa sure looks comfy to lounge in.

Greige, eggshell white and soft pink. The ceiling being painted in the same colour as the walls makes for a cozy feel. I would hang the beautiful mirror properly on the wall though.
Need Ideas for your Hallway?
Having a clean and clutter free entry is a good idea, since it is usually the second impression a person gets of your home (the first is usually your garden etc). If you are looking for inspiration for an entry/hallway upgrade, look no further:
The Funky:

Black, White and Grey with a splash of Yellow. Those round mirrors gives me a serious flashback to this Jan van Eyck pic.
The Sophisticated:

Olive, white and dark wood.
