Beautiful beige dining room, I love the decor.

In the middle of the table is a tall vase with branches. They are covered in snow spray and decorated with icicle ornaments. Other tall vases are filled with snow-sprayed pine cones and pillar candles. The white tree-candles looks so good on the glass candle sticks.

I adore these easy holiday DIY projects from Better Homes and Gardens:

Blue, green and silver ornament trees in white planters. Push a stick into a styrofoam ball and hot glue pretty ornaments to it. Cover the stick with a pretty ribbon, and secure it into a planter with gravel. You can probably use something from your kitchen instead of gravel, like dry rice, peas, beans etc. I love the combination here with the matte green and blue ornaments together with the shiny silver ones.

Another doable ornament tree, this time with cone shaped styrofoam. For a complete theme, make a wreath to match! I bet an ornament wreath like this can be made equally pretty on both sides, so you can hang it in the window like shown above.

This plum, gold and green wreath is so pretty! Looks like guilded roses, ornaments and artfully placed green leafs.

Here is another apartment, decorated in a completely different style from the one in the last post:

Beige living room decorated with orange and red. Low furniture with simple lines on a large dramatic area rug. I don’t know where the coffee cups go, because there is no table. On the other hand, there is plenty of space for dancing!

Take a look at this fun purple, turquoise and pink table setting. I love the idea of hanging ornaments from the ceiling like this, in fact, I have done something similar in my own home, just not over the dining table. Sewing thread and hot glue gun baby! The colorful ribbons used here are pretty too. And while on the subject of pretty, check out the wallpaper over the fireplace.

Going green for the new year? Why not start with a super easy and affordable holiday decor scheme of pine cones? Margot Austin has some great ideas on how to turn these little cuties into the perfect decor:

Make a garland by threading pine cones on a thin string, and hide the ends with a beautiful green ribbon. Pine cones also make great vase fillers, in table- as well as floor vases. Love how the Cala lilies are protected by glass all the way up. Also, pine cones makes for a super cute present decor, here decorated with snow spray.

Another vase filler variant. Can also be used as a place card holder, just place it in a shot glass or egg cup.

Three large pine cones with a green ribbon make a pretty substitute for a wreath on your front (or back) door.
