*

Bright turquoise walls with beige and yellow. This surf chic living room is all about happy colors.
*

That shade of turquoise is a bit on the bright side for me, but I love how it is repeated throughout the accents. And btw I am strangely attracted to the sofa fabric.. so pretty!
*

Now this is a cute dining area! The beige, turquoise and yellow work perfectly together.
*

Purple side table with orange fishes. Almost like a built-in vignette. No worries about decorating that table top!
*

This must be the most crazy color combo yet. I feel like a cartoon character just by looking at it! I would think any weather would be gray when you walk out of this entryway.
*

This lavender blue, turquoise and green nursery is the cutest! The wave detail on the crib is my favorite part.
*

More waves in this bedroom. I see 6 fishes.
*

Orange and pink is one of my favorite color combos. Perfect for a little girls room.
*

Hello Yellow!
*

Black and white bedroom with yellow accents. The wallpaper is a bit busy.
*

Cream colored sofa in a white living room. The room is accessorized with black and yellow.
*

Would you consider a half round sofa like this? Looks cool, but it would require a room of a certain size…
*

Glossy white dining table with black chairs. I haven’t met anyone who has yellow doors!
*

Fun wallpaper.

Mimosa and Cream
*

A ray of sunshine from one of my favorite designers, Eileen Kathryn Boyd. I love the classic cream color hues she put together with mimosa yellow. In most cases the yellow would really take all of your eyes attention when paired with a neutral background, but see how Eileen has balanced the color throughout the room. The chairs and throw pillows are the major sources of color, and the yellow ribbons on the curtains balance the color throughout the room. It is all in the symmetry and balance here. Yellow Home
The way Interior Designer Janie Hirsch often use one color scheme throughout a whole house, really fascinate me! If you don’t remember the gorgeous blue home we looked at before, you can see it here. This time she has used a soft shade of yellow which she has combined with both white and dark stained wood:
*

Classic dining room with chandelier and a bouquet of white tulips.
*

The kitchen is very modern with stainless steel appliances.
*

But further into the room is the classic styles kitchen dining area. Cute blinds.
*

The living room is in an open plan solution with the kitchen as far as I can tell. Take a look at that mirror!
*

Even the bedroom is yellow. Bedroom idea: hang a curtain behind the bed to create a draped fond wall. And instead of a bench at the end of your bed, why not place you desk?
*

Celebrity Nurseries
I discovered textile designer Anette Tatum through one of my favorite blogs Velvet & Linen. I love these three designs Anette did for her celebrity clients Marcia Cross and Minnie Driver.
*
Marcia Cross’s lilac and white twin nursery:

Soft lilac and white nursery with butterfly mobiles and princess veil over each bed. Anette writes more about this nursery here.

Minnie Driver’s turquoise hollywood nursery:

This is so bright and fun! I get a circus vibe from the valances and color theme!

This super soft yellow and white nursery is too pretty! Love the polar bear rocking horse and the pretty skirts on the shelfs over the changing table. Read more about Minnie’s nurseries here.

*
Don’t you just love the quirky color combination in this home office? The room is white, with the trimmings in a tender blue-green. The real kicker is the yellow! This is the kind of room where you wander around, discovering new details all along. What about the goat under the desk? and is that a door in the dresser (last pic)? The design is by Honey Interiors, check out a few more pics from this awesome room here!

Pretty Pattern Dining room
Take a look at this multi patterned dining room designed by Sherrill Canet. This room is breaking just about all the rules of pattern combination, and it works surprisingly well!
*

Small, high contrast pattern on both walls and floor. Zebra mirror frame over the fireplace, and pattern-paintings on the wall! The room is accented with yellow, and even the ceiling got that note.
*

Same room with different chairs. I love this horn dining table. Impressing!
