Old Hollywood Glam

Cream living room with the prettiest windows ever! It would be a sin to cover those up with curtains, lol!

The beige sofa is pretty much backless.

A mirrored wall accent adds a touch of glamor to this living room, with good help from the multiple silver candlesticks in the fireplace.

The dining room is tan and coral. Fun bubble-chandelier!

The dining table looks more like a kitchen island to me. Tall and rigid.

One thing I always look for when I see a mirror, is the reflection of the photographer. Do you?

Soft Colors
Lets take a look at some light bright living rooms:

Soft pink, peach and beige. Here is a good balance between pattern and monochromatic, making the room interesting but not intense.
Soft blue, crisp white and a light grey. This classic room is modernized by adding mirror tables. I would never get tables like that, look at all the finger prints…ugh.
Cream and white. Otherwise, the room is nice.
Red Hot Interior!
If you prefer it spicy, you’re in luck!

To Build a Room…
…around one piece of furniture. Sometimes when I look at a room, I get the impression that the whole room is constructed to match one particular piece of furniture or a painting.
Once I made a huge painting for my mom, and she went and analysed the paint color and painted her living room the exact color as the background in my painting (I might post the pics some time, LOL).
This is one of those pictures:

Soft Living rooms
Now lets have a look at some soft living rooms with lots of natural daylight:

Nice natural fiber wallpaper. Peach, white and wood. I would change the table (don’t think the circle and the square go well together) and the picture in the frame (the frame itself is great!).

Another light bright room. Soft green carpets, beige wall and white furniture. This classic room might benefit from a more shapely lamp, but i see they are going for the straight lines around the sofa. On a different note, those sofa legs remind me of thighs with fat rolls on them, LOL..

Similar color palette, but green on the walls and beige carpet. Cute pillow-choice, with two of them matching the curtains. Simple lines and lots of soft pillows!

Mustard, white and beige. Again with pillow-curtain matching.
